Chocolate Mousse


Eggs - 3 (big)

Gelatine - 15 gms

Milk - ½ Cup

Castor sugar - 3/4 cup

Vanilla essence - a few drops

Water - 1/2 cup

‘Pik’ Cocoa - 3 level tbsp

Dark Chocolate - 2 tbsp

‘Pik’ Whipped Topping - 1 pkt


  • Separate the eggs. Keep aside the egg white.
  • Prepare the custard with the yolks, sugar, cocoa and milk , over a double boiler stirring constantly. Add the dark chocolate.
  • Once thick, remove from fire, dip in cold water and stir till cold.
  • Melt gelatin in ½ cup water.
  • Add the gelatine to the custard. Keep in the freezer forsome time.
  • Beat the egg whites till stiff.
  • Beat the Whipped Topping with 125ml milk till it stands in soft peaks
  • Take the custard out of the fridge and beat till smooth.
  • Add the egg whites and essence if needed.
  • Gently fold in the Whipped Topping
  • Set in individual glasses or in a bowl.
  • Decorate and serve.
