Trifle Pudding

Ingredients

‘Pik’ Jelly Crystals - 1 pkt

Milk - 1 litre

‘Pik’ Custard powder - 6 tbsp

Sugar - 6 tbsp

‘Pik’ Cake Mix - 1 Pkt

Fresh fruits - 1 cup

Nuts - 4 tbsp‘Pik’ Whipped Topping / Ice–cream

Method

  • Boil the milk with the sugar in a heavy bottom pan.
  • Make a paste of the custard powder and a little milk (reserved from the 1 litre.)
  • Once the milk has boiled, reduce the flame and pour the paste in a thin stream, stirring all the time. Cook for a minute or two till it gets thick.
  • Cool and add the fresh fruits to the custard.
  • Prepare the Cake as per the directions on the packet
  • Prepare the Jelly as per the instructions on the packet.
  • Slice a cake horizontally and press into a large serving bowl.
  • Pour the jelly over the cake and leave to set in the refrigerator.
  • Add the nuts and pour the custard with fruits on top. Set again.
  • Remove and decorate with Whipped Topping (made as per the directions on the packet) or top it with ice- cream.
